Professional Visits
Spring Hill School has been a magical place of education and exploration for countless children, parents, and colleagues in the Mad River Valley since its inception in 1984. Throughout the years the teachers have been influenced and inspired by an ongoing study of the Reggio Emilia Approach to early childhood education. The early childhood programs in Reggio Emilia, Italy are world-renowned for their innovative approach to education.
The in-depth study of the “Reggio Approach” has been the cornerstone of professional development at Spring Hill since former directors Laura Brines and Laurie Shelton first attended a study tour to Reggio Emilia in 1993. Since then Spring Hill has become a leading example of a Reggio-Inspired school statewide and has served as a mentor for other early education programs, both public and private. We enjoy having professionals and colleagues visit. Please contact us to schedule a tour.
