Daily Schedule
Below is an outline of a typical daily schedule. The timing of the schedule is flexible in response to the needs of the children and the activities of the day.

Glossary of Spring Hill-isms
- Goodbye Bridge: the place many children stand to wave goodbye to their families
- Peace Bench: the place children and teachers go to work through a problem
- Studio: the space in the front room where project work often happens
- Message Center: the home for mailboxes and name symbols
- Whippy Doodles: funny plastic shapes with handles for sledding
- “Snap!”: what children exclaim when they have something the same as another person, such as the same item in their lunch box
- Meeting Time: whole group gatherings
- Middle Earth: aka the “treehouse room”- where block play happens
- Memory Books: each child has a Memory Book to house their work, photos and other treasures, it goes home on the last day of school
- Book Borrowing Envelopes: every child has an envelope to check books out of the school library
- Breathing Ball: a Hoberman Sphere used for mindful breathing during yoga or when needed for deep breaths
- Daily Journal: the highlights of the day posted on a clipboard in the entryway
- Jump Up Day: the last day of school and graduation celebration
