Spring Hill School’s Bid and Boogie is a much-anticipated fall event in the Mad River Valley. Both the planning and celebration are fun for everyone involved. Since its inception by a group of parents in 2000, this silent auction and dance party has proven to be a tremendously successful fundraiser for the school. It is an all-hands-on-deck event: a labor of love for the parents of Spring Hill students as they come together to create this amazing night…and have fun of their own, in the process.
This fundraiser generates income, which comprises nearly 10% of the school’s annual operating budget. Therefore, we count on its success year after year. Funds from the Bid and Boogie: help keep tuition affordable for all families, keep the scholarship fund robust, provide teachers with professional development opportunities, and enable the school to pay competitive wages and benefits so it can retain quality teachers. These moneys also allow the school to fund building and grounds projects as inspiring as renovating the playground or as mundane as replacing the water heater. They are instrumental to the many necessities of running a freestanding preschool.
